Community Centre
The Abbey Hall
The Abbey Hall is located just across from the Abbey and is part of our mission work to give back to the Wymondham community by offering the use of it free of charge to various local Community groups.

Community Groups
The Hall hosts regular community offerings such as a Food Bank, Citizens Advice sessions, Sunday Parish Lunches and will soon include regular help from the Abbey’s own Parish Nurse. For more details on this go to the Parish Nursing Ministries website.
Several other Community groups are working with us to begin regular sessions in the Hall.
We are also in the process of funding a major refurbishment project which will bring the building up to excellent standards of insulation, heating, decoration and kitchen facilities.
If you are running or planning a Community Project, please get in touch by clicking the ‘Contact Us’ button below so that we can discuss how you might join the throng at the centrally located Abbey Hall Centre.

The Abbey Hall was built in 1971 replacing the Vicarage Rooms which had become too small and decrepit for modern 1970s use. The Hall was built with money raised in the community by public subscription (crowd funding in today’s parlance) and is run by the Abbey PCC management committee. It has been well used by various groups – Tiny Talk, Weight Watchers, Scouts and Cubs, Community Choirs, Bridge Clubs, Tai Chi, Shuffle Board players, a polling station, Childrens Society Quizes, private children’s parties, Abbey Lunches and many others over the years.
