Accessibility
Wheelchair Users
If you have any questions or comments about access, please contact our Parish Manager – details on the Contact Us page.
-
The Main Entrance
The Abbey is approached by a tarmac pathway which is virtually level. There are no steps. There is limited car access for those who need to get close to the door, but we do ask that you drive carefully – we have a lot of walkers along our paths! You may park near the main entrance if you are a blue badge holder.
-
Toilets
A wheelchair accessible toilet is available inside the Abbey – just ask the Welcomer for directions.
-
Taking part in worship services
There is level access to the areas of the Abbey where services are normally held. On Sundays, at the main Sung Eucharist service, wheelchair users and others may either come up to the altar rail or ask the duty churchwarden for the sacrament to be brought to them where they are sitting.
